I just wanted to share my favorite website…not only do I love the clothes on the website, but I also love the way it is all laid out. Every couple of days or so, the website is updated and I think it is all put together very well. All of the pictures represent the clothing well and are all great pictures. Hopefully this helps for those doing a website with fashion and clothing.
As I am trying to get ideas for my website I have been trying to seek out what looks good versus what does not. I found this website where it shows good versus bad examples of websites. Take a look and hopefully it will help you too.
Naked Communication’s website (Naked is a UK based ad agency) is a really fun example of a Flash website. I also think it shows some of the disadvantages of flash. If you click through the pages, the navigation makes sense, but you have to get through the clutter of the design to find information. However, it is interactive and keeps the viewer engaged.

Even though its not a non-profit, Toms Shoes has made great strides in giving shoes to less fortunate children. For every pair purchased, the company donates a pair of shoes to a child in need. While it may seem trivial, we don’t realize how imperative shoes are in our everyday lives. The website does a good job at conveying the message and raising awareness for Toms Shoes’ event, One Day Without Shoes. The screenshot below shows that site visitors can watch a video, read the objective and enter their information to get involved– all key parts of an effective website.
This magazine’s website has a bunch of really helpful tools for our upcoming website project. I particularly like the section about color, however the site also has a bunch of examples of successful websites that are both creative and easy to navigate. There are some tutorials as well as cool ideas and links to some other helpful sites. I like the website pictured below because it has simple type and a clean color scheme and that makes it easy to use. I know that is what I will be aiming to do with our next project.
When I was looking online at magazine spreads in order to generate some ideas, I came across this website: http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=4076. The website contains 20 different examples of creative magazine spreads. All of the examples I think are extremely well-done and effective. Hope this helps !!!!!!
