I don’t know about the rest of you, but I seem to be having more difficulty figuring out what information to display in my resume rather than how to lay it out. Here is a website with a resume outline, formats, styles, samples, etc. Just wander around the site to find more helpful suggestions!

Here’s a quick rundown of what professor Harper covered today involving posting to the blog. I will try to get a video tutorial up this week but this should be a decent reference for now.

Apple + Shift + 4 will give you the screen capture tool
Draw a box to create a simple image to represent what you’ve found on the blog post

Pictures SHOULD be saved to your desktop
Rename the image to something more pleasent that makes sense with hyphons between words, not spaces.. no funny characters

Resize in Photoshop to 500px wide (not mandatory)
- Image > Image Size > Width 500 (make sure constrain proportions is checked)

Best to save as JPEG
- File > Save As > Select JPEG

Log in to blog at http://www.establishareconnect.com/gra217/wp-login.php

Add a new post (not a new page!)

Title it

Upload your image (Upload/Insert menu, hover over buttons to tell what’s what)

Select your file from the upload box

After the file is uploaded you will see some important options that need to be filled out.
- By default the “Link URL” will be pointing to just the image, you want to change this to the link you found on the web; the one you took a screen shot of.
- Then click “Insert Post”

Put in some tags. These are keywords that will help describe your post to someone searching the blog or to a search engine that is indexing your page.

When you are ready, his the “Publish” button and it will be live to the world
