I love this movie and just think this poster is so cool.  If you look closely it is made up of cards to put together the Joker.  A lot of cool things one can do with graphics!

Finding Fonts on the Internet

September 29, 2010  |  Resources, Typography  |  No Comments

I compiled a list of website that offer free font downloads. Each of the below images links to a website with at least 15 other options (one actually has 1001). There are a lot of fun fonts out there…just make sure whichever one you pick is READABLE.

Good luck!

Text Tutorials

September 27, 2010  |  inspire  |  No Comments

While for searching how to create a smoke effect for my poster, I found this website with tutorials on how to create tons of typefaces from 3D effects to copying the the font from the star wars movie. These fonts are all created in photoshop and give a step by step tutorial process with pictures and detailed descriptions to create a type more interesting and more graphic than those offered in InDesign. These tutorials make fonts not just type but pieces of art that can be intertwined with your image. Hope these tutorials are as helpful to you guys as they were to me.
