This website has really inspirational pieces of graphic artwork. It can inspire you through he colors, shapes, pictures and typeface, etc. I hope you guys enjoy.
I thought this poster was really cool because it combined typography with images. The writing in the poster form an image based on the color of the typography. The poster illuminates the tremendous impact that typography can have on a project.
I really enjoyed looking at this website. I love the background and how the colors fit so perfect in the overall concept. This layout provides inspiration for others to see how they can design their website. The colors coincide with the theme and the flowers and swirls adds to the concept of the look.
Here is a picture of a website that has some cool designs. You can use it for inspiration. It is very clean and has good use of color. It makes you feel relaxed and not overwhelmed. The layout is very good and can be useful when creating for the website project.

I decided to go in a completely different direction for my poster redo. My previous poster tried to capture a child-like feeling through using bright colors as toy blocks to spell out “toy drive”. After meeting with Professor Harper during afterhours I realized that although the idea made sense, it was difficult to read due to the multitude of bright colors. I then decided that it would be best if I completely started over.
For my poster redo I decided that I could effectively convey my message in more sophisticated style. Since my poster is for a toy drive for Children’s Hospital Boston, I decided to incorporate a winter/holiday feeling. I made the background to be a deep navy blue gradient. I then used the paintbrush to integrate snow flakes on the blue background. I think the background effectively conveys a winter atmosphere!
After creating the background I then used the shape tool to create boxes/presents. I decided to make the presents appear in the traditional Christmas colors, red and green. In order to generate ideas for my new poster I researched vintage Christmas posters. I then found several old holiday posters that all had one thing in common, cursive typography. I chose to use the font, Snell Roundhand for the entire poster because I believe it brought a classic and holiday feeling to the poster
Even though the poster project has already been completed, I couldn’t resist posting this awesome example that I found while searching for website inspiration. I am absolutely in love with this poster. Graphically enthralling and full of life.
I’ve been fortunate enough to live around the world, and in every country that I’ve lived in, I’ve always been impressed by new pieces of architecture that pop up around cities. I found this website that shows over 30 of the most interesting architecture around the world, and many of the buildings pictured have inspired me to be more creative in my work for GRA 217. After all, if someone can design a building that can withstand the natural elements and still make it incredibly creative, then I think I can be more creative in designing a small website.
I found this awesome business card example online. I love the image of the old radio on the back and thought it was a good move to keep the back of the radio as the background for the front of the card. It is a little silly but I think the quality of the design makes up for this. I would respect this company and worker if for nothing more than their creativity.
Those of you who have seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 know what I am talking about when I say that the animation sequence for the Tale of Three Brothers was probably the coolest thing in the history of forever.
Those of you who haven’t should go see it so we can have this conversation.
Seriously though, the animation was so freaking cool and this one picture does not do it justice. It was mysterious and scary and beautiful all at the same time and it really fit in well with the tale as it was being told. I don’t know who was in charge of the design, but serious kudos to them.
I discovered this fashion designers duo’s website upon applying for an internship one day. What kept me persistent in trying to land the internship was all due to this website–it completely intrigued me. From the moment you load the site, there is a cursor counting down the seconds until the page appears. Then the cursor changes into a hand. The whole aesthetics of the site is very antique and almost haunting (a creepy feeling), but in an elegant way. As I navigate the site I feel like I’m in a portal being transferred into another dimension. You guys should definitely just play around with this site and see how creativity is used in creating this kind of site. This might not work for every company, but as a fashion designer, the creativity played well in setting the designers’ tone and everything on the site went well with interacting with users. I’m not sure if there is more structure to this web design project.
