Hurricane Earl is rapidly approaching the east coast. Due to the sporadic nature of the storm’s movement, the hurricane’s path can still not be determined. The hurricane’s strength has increased over the course of the day causing the National Weather Service to upgrade its classification from a 3 to a 4. With winds of over 135 miles per hour, the hurricane is posing a great threat to inhabitants of the east coast. Popular North Carolina vacation spot, the Outer Banks, has been evacuated. Precautions are being implemented to minimize damage along the coast, as far north as Maine.
