I thought this poster was pretty clever, although you have to look closely to know what its real purpose is.  If I was just walking by, I wouldn’t get the full effect.  Although all the empty space gives the poster stark contrast, I think it would be more effective if the author tried to use some of that space to make a bigger statement about the problem.
